Elise Wolf, of Native Bird Care avian rescue, shares fascinating secrets, videos, photos, and stories of her favorite rescued birds. Rescuers see and experience wild birds in ways that most people never get a chance to. Come learn about and celebrate the extraordinary birds that live or travel through Central Oregon.
Ever wondered what that strange whirring sound is that you hear in the sky during summer here? Its a Common Nighthawk, or Poorwill. See what these look like up close. Want to know what a loon looks like from a foot away? Elise has pictures of these and other very cool birds. In addition, she will share their stories, along with of a few of the neat babies she's raised, like swallows, Wilson's snipe, and woodpeckers.
Come spend an hour or so enjoying Elise's pictures, videos, and stories. And even learn a little along the way about the birds you see in your yard, at the river, or on a hike!
